Hello I just ordered a Churchill 206 Trap, I have never owned a gun with ejectors, I have borrowed a few and I am not a fan, for me it's easier pulling shells and tossing them in the bin than shooting them into your hand. I do plan to shoot the gun for a bit with the ejectors in tact before I make any mods but I am curious if anyone knows what the process would be to change the ejector to just an extractor? is it something I can do at home with a few tools or is it best left to a smith?
from what I have read some people say to shorten the ejector spring so it doesn't hit as hard and won't pop the shells. (some say this is a poor way to do it)
some say remove the ejector catch and related parts so the ejector never catches and doesn't pop the shells.
Anyone have experience? Like I said regardless I am going to shoot it a while before I do anything, and if I do decide to make the mod I will have the replacement parts in hand before I do anything.
Thanks
