Grate compilation love it , thanksHi Folks,
I've started to try and gather up all the CIL info that I can find from various locations in order to compile and publish a comprehensive list on CGN. It's probably because I don't have a real life <G>! Actually, I've always loved them. They were the first firearms that I owned as a kid and I still have them.
I know that my current draft is just that ... a draft, but if anyone wants to contribute info, I'll happily try to update it and keep it current. Please PM me for my email address if you need to send pics or other larger files.
Thanks!
Rob
Dear OldCERA, I have a c.i.l. mark 180, serial number 848406. It have a white spacer at the butt plate and a track, under the forearm, who is 3,25 inches too long (83 mm) . This rifle is born between 1968 and 1972, not for sure. Could you tell me a bit more about this beauty. Thanks a lot!View attachment 308671
Yours is a Model 310 with Match 64 action as near as I can tell. Great little rifles! Here's a pic of the actions that I know about for these rifles. I'll post some trigger info soon.

Cheers! I really like my 233. I've had to weld the magazines back together and tighten the forward screw on the trigger assembly every now and then but it has gotten a lot of grouse and gophers for me! Your shells ever get pinched by the bolt after firing instead of coming out? I oiled my extractors but still get it sometimes.Just acquired a CIL 233 semi auto 22.
It has the original 5 round magazine and mounted with a vintage Gevarm 3/4 inch scope.
Will give it a good cleaning and test fire as I don’t think anyone has used it since the 1970,s.
Google foo tells me it’s a Savage 85N.
It has some interesting features such as a tang safety and a case deflection tab.
Neat bit of history for sure.
