Any idea where I could source a spare mag for my 900?

OldCERA does or did your 190 have a maple leaf engraved under the grip. Any idea what that is about?

I've pm'd you and cat about the Maple Leaf. I don't have any credible info on it or why some have it. Personal embellishment seems most likely to me as I don't think the 190 was actually a formal "program" based rifle in past years.

Mag's for the 900 should be available out of Nordic. I've also seen them posted for sale in the UK a couple of times under the Anschutz 1531AD part number of 1530-15.
The 1531 seems to be the 900 by my best guess. The parts list etc is at: http://jga.anschuetz-sport.com/index.php5?menu=226&sprache=1

HI Folks,
I've now tracked down, and have, two of the three variants of the 470. I'm looking for Pic's of the third variant that I've seen which is a vented receiver model.
Thanks for

I've just seen (March 2020) a listing indicating that the Anschutz 525-U8 late production Magazine has an extra lug that will prevent it from fitting the 300's and some early 470's. Apparently this lug can be filed down with no problem. I checked a couple... here's the pic: CIL 470 and 300 Mags.jpg

I just found a complete barreled receiver and bolt for a CIL 950 with no letter suffix. It’s actually a savage model 110E or M. The one I have is in .308 Win and is unusual in that it has the ejector attached to the rear of the magazine in kind of a spring loaded lever. Unfortunately this is missing. It has a blind box mag that extends thru the wood but is covered by a floorplate held in place by the 2 floorplate screws attaching to the bottom of the receiver.
Anyone seen one before or have one?
If anyone can help me out with the missing ejector parts or bottom plate or a used stock let me know.
I’d like to put this one back together

I found an excellent article on the Savage Shooters website that may help. A quote from J. Baker (the author) is:
"In the 1960's Canadian Industries Limited (CIL) of Montreal, ONT. contracted with Savage Arms to manufacture at least two rifle models based on the 110 design for import and sale in the Canadian market. The first was a sporter model (Model 950) that featured a California Monte Carlo stock made by Sile of Italy - the same stock used on the Savage 110 P and 110 PE models from 1966-70). The second was a target model (Model 950T) which featured a single-shot action, heavy contour 26-1/2" barrel and a target style walnut stock made by Bishop. According to an article published by Petersen's Hunting in 2008, approximately 250 of the 950T's were made (200 RH / 50 LH) and were adapted for use with Parker-Hale sights. It is also known that a very small quantity (less than 50) of these target rifles were sold in the U.S. by one dealer. (J. Baker, History of the Savage 110)."

I've just got my hands on an early 300. It is under 700 by serial number! The interesting point on this 22 is the fact that it is marked with both the Anschutz and Marochi names on the right side of the receiver and CIL 300 on the left side. It has Anschutz proof marks which is interesting and the bolt is noticeably different than later models. Pics will follow.

The 972C came in 243, 270 Winchester, 3006, 308 and 7mm Remington Magnum according to the pamphlet that accompanied my rifle. Pics of the literature are linked above.

Thanks Folks!
I've updated my table ... here is an updated version. If anyone can figure out the years that any of these were offered, I'd love to include it... :)

HI Folks,
For dating the Annie versions of the CIL brand, I found some info at https://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/index.php under a forum titled Quick Guide to dating Annie Target Rifles.
The info helped me "date" several of my rifles ... I think! As someone mentioned a while back, it is likely that Anschutz parts from "less popular" or "older" model components made it into the "CIL" line as convenient for them. Many thanks to Bob Smalser, and others, at Rimfire for posting the info.

I just looked at my CIL 125 and it has a 66 stamped on the left side of the barrel by the receiver - 1966. It's also funny that although the barrel is stamped Canadian Industries Limited, there is no model number on it.

Hi Grouse Man, All of my 125's are stamped with "125" on the receiver "under" where the front scope mount would sit. I'd love to see a pic of one without it as that would be a new variant for me to document. Catnthehat remembers seeing some with no model number but I've yet to actually see one!

My original 22 as a kid was the 125 (3rd from the bottom). I love it. I tried to refinish it as a kid... don't remember when but my eyes were just above the top of my dad's workbench and the dust was a real pain!

The 310 is the best "feeling" 22 that I've got and it is spot on accurate. She seems a little temperamental on her bullets and prefers stingers (women!). It is by far the most consistent of my 22 rimfires even including the 180 and 190's! The hands down most accurate rifle in my stable is the Model 900 in 222 REM. She's an absolute darling (don't tell the wife I'm "cheatin' on her"). I'm working up new rounds for her and have "so far" settled on 19.3 Gn of 4198 with a 400 primer pushing a 52 gn Hornady ELD Match. I'm going to do a little more tuning but I'm not a competitive shooter... I suck actually... I just like to have fun and give the grandkids some exposure to what my childhood was all about. I've given away 7 of the CIL rimfires to kids, nieces, nephews and most lately I'm setting up to transfer a couple to a grand nephew (Give me a call Ryan - I lost your postal code!). I hope they enjoy them as much as I have.
