@ Snowman;
Part of the problem, friend, is that there are very few Armouries like Minto and fewer all the time.
We had a Regiment based here, first as a Company, later as a Regiment, from 1885 onward.
Then Pearson decided that the Militia was too big, cost too much, so the Colours were cased and sent to Ottwa and the Armouries bulldozed.
While they were tearing the place down, they found a crate of 1000 rounds of ammo: solid-drawn Canadian-made .577/.450 MH solids. It was sent to Ottawa.
For destruction.
That's The Canadian Way.
Canadians are to be beshat upon and disarmd until there is an Immedite Danger to the Welfare of the Ruling Class. Then alarums are sounded, the Peasants are armed and the Ruling Class ships its stolen gold to Switzerland or the Cayman Islands or Nevis. NATIONAL DEFENCE then proceeds until the threat has passed, when it becomes once again time to disarm the Peasants.
The Canadian Way, of course.
What did you THINK we had, anyway?
A FREE COUNTRY or something?
