I would say classic and vintage are two very different things... a classic rifle could have been manufactured yesterday, more of a style thing... a vintage rifle on the other hand needs significant age, more of a time thing... how much age??? Don't think you'll get a resolution on that question, but my vote would be for Pre-64'...

Show off... I always thought that a double rifle with 7X57R over 9.3X74R would be a very wonderful and useful combination...
The 7x57R will do most of what we would need a 9.3 to do here in Canada. Add a 12ga I/C choke and you have a very versatile combo for fur & feather.

Just have a pic of one vintage rifle in my possession. A North America Arms Grizzly in 308. Built on a Sako L57 action. Mildly surprised when I received it since I was expecting 2 L57 Sako's. Anyway, here she is:

Also have a 1962 Remington 700 ADL with the 20" barrel, but it's currently wearing a camo stock, so not very nice. Only other vintage I have is a Marlin 336RC from 1956 in 35 Remington.

The boys from Belgium...

Back to front,
FN Sporter in .270 that somebody drilled & tapped, otherwise original condition
FN actioned "J.C. Higgins" Model 50 in .30-06, refinished original wood, checkered & crossbolted
FN Sporter in .30-06, original except for added Lyman 48 sight & recoil pad
FN Sporter in .270, 100% original including sight hood & 2 stage trigger
FN Sporter in .375 H&H, with all FN rollmarks, 100% original & as new
....no wonder I'm always broke....
