I was thinking we should post pics from shooting at clubs of trap, skeet, sporting, 5-stand etc. so we can try to promote and bring awareness to those who may not know the differences between the games or that there may be clubs close by they are not aware of where they can try these activities. I'll start off by posting pics from a registered trap shoot this past weekend held in Castor, AB. It was nice to see a couple youngsters taking part, one of which was his first time ever shooting at a clay target. One of the fellows took him aside and gave him one on one instruction on a practice field prior to the first event commencing and when he felt comfortable he was assigned a position on a squad and out he went participating in a 100 singles event with two other shooters on the squad. It was also nice to see several women, a few of whom were also new to the sport taking part. The APTA(Alberta Trapshooting Association) gives all first time shooters who want to join the ATA and shoot registered a free 1 year membership to the ATA & APTA to promote participation. SATA(SK) does the same and even gives the new shooter their first 100 targets free. We need to see more of this kind of stuff in our sport so please feel free to post pics of shooting at your club or any club you shoot at and lets get the word out to many of the new shooters we see posing questions in this forum as to locations of these wonderful shooting venues, especially the smaller unknown clubs that can use an extra bit of help.
