Clubbing SEALS?

I thoroughly enjoy hunting but don't like ''killing''and admit a twinge of regret when an animal is hit-but that doesn't deter me from pulling the trigger-and there have been more than a few times I've said''bang''rather than do it,sometimes because I was way back in the bush and didn't want to pack the animal out, sometimes because it was just too late in the day and I didn't want to spend another couple of hours skinning and packing,or sometimes because it was a spike and I'd rather let it grow up .But a nice mature buck that had already passed on his gene pool-well-he's in trouble if I have a rest and can get a nice clean shot.Venison makes for fine table fare....
funny on the arguement against clubbing seals though-the very same crowd that decries using ''high powered rifles and telescope sights''and demands the hunter pursue his game with a ''club or a spear''-screams bloody murder when they do....

Well it is refreshing to see peoples attitudes are changing towards the harvesting of seal pups, which is what they are known as. Unfortunatly the change of opinion came too late to stop the ban on the harvesting of pups. Adult harp seals and hooded seals are still hunted. It amazes me to see someone eating a hamburger, and whine about the seal hunt! Every province has there own form of hunting, but for years the Newfoundland seal hunt has been singled out as being cruel.

To make an informed decision, you need a reference. Might I suggest a trip to the local abbitoir. For a really good comparison, a Kosher abbitoir.

You will have no problem coming up with a decision on the humanity of dispatching a seal with a blow to the head.
