My WWII collection seems to be growing by leaps and bounds lately. I started out wanting to have max two firearms from each of the major players from WWII.
So far I have in my posession a 1943 M1 Garand, SVT-40; and I have a 1950 Lee Enfield #4 Mk1 (although not from the war itself, being in excellent condition I couldn't pass it up). They all have slings but the M1 and SVT have the stripper clips/enblocs. I have one cleaning tool for the M1. On top of this I have bandoleers, clips, and the locking screws are in the mail for a K98.
I am in the process of purchasing a K98 and SVT tool from P&S, and a M44 from Navy Gunner.
I still need to buy:
1. M91/30, repro PU scope/mount, bolt body (in discussions about)
2. Lee Enfield #5 Mk1 Jungle Carbine
3. 1903A4 Springfield (to be my last rifle)
4. Various accessories (cleaning tools, bayonets, etc)
So how am I doing? I'll have pics in the morning. I've been thinking of buying a brand new 1903A4 from National Match in the US. Yeah, its going to cost me an amazing amount of $$. The way I see it, its going to be crazy amount of money for a used one anyways (not to mention how hard it can be to find a good conditioned one), or I can try and build my own (still crazy amount of $$).
