Stock out of the box, they would not engage my slide stop when empty, spring was too weak. I ain't a fan of these mags, Power mags sure.....shooting star, not so much. Follower is flimsy as well.

Same with mine, they will not engage the slide stop, as well they will not insert into the gun without me depressing the mag release. I have two colt mags that are marked Colt that came with the gun, as i just got the firearm in my possession. Both the Colt 7 round mags that came with the gun work fine. These bull#### mags that this guy is selling as Colt 1911 Mags are junk. DO NOT BUY THEM. They will not insert into my gun without pushing the mag release and they will not hold the slide open. I did get ripped off. Plus i pmed this dealer a few days ago and he has still not got back to me when i questioned him on it.

Those mags that you got are their "Classic" mag, there known to have issues from what I've read. The "Power Mag" that they offer is supposed to be really good quality, FWIW.

They are not colt mags, they do not even have colt marked on them, like the ones that came with the gun. Advertise it for what it is, its not a colt mag, its a cheap chip mccormick mag, that doesnt even work. I bought a colt so i jumped on this buying ten mags that i thought were colt mags, instead i got this junk, that will not fit in the gun unless i depress the mag release, and will not hold the slide open on the empty mag.

I was referring to the CM mags.

I hope Corwin Arms makes this right, anybody reading that ad or their website would assume they are genuine Colt mags.

I contacted him on the 29th, and it shows he has been online, but still hasn't responded to me. I just sent another pm tonight. Its false advertising, weather it be by ignorance or what its still false advertising.

Guess im only out 210 bux, i just hate not getting what im expecting. The guy has a decent trader rating so i dunno what gives here. Maybe those are exactly what colt sent him, i dunno. Why, cause he hasnt got back to me.

I managed to get one into the gun, without depressing the mag release, but i had to slam it in, however, it still wont hold the slide release open. I thought i was getting a deal for colt mags, but they are not colt mags, why they are so freaking cheap, Guess ill start looking for some Wilson Combat 47D mags. I know those fkers work.

I seen this ad and knew they were not original Colt mags. As posted in my pics earlier, Colt uses a different follower in their 8rd mags. These ones look like the 7 rd mag followers in their ad. Pretty bad for a site sponsor not to reply to your PM/emails. I sure won't be buying anything from them.

Im not a 1911 guy, normally had Glocks and revolvers. I had a few 1911s over the years so figured id get another. I bought a colt, so when i saw Colt Mags advertised i jumped at them. I had no idea they would not be colt mags.

Hi

They are clearly marked as for Colt 1911 pistols we are not advertising them as Colt manufactured with a Colt name on them. Please send them all back to us for a full refund plus your return shipping cost we will issue the refund as soon as we get the magazines.

Thank You for Everything

It says Colt 1911 8 round stainless magazines. To me i read that as colt magazines. Not magazines that fit a colt.
Colt does not currently make magazines and hasn't made them in decades. Even if you get one with a pony stamped on it, you can be confident that it was made by a subcontractor.
