Those pistol wer 729$ to my door if I remember correctly...

But they are uber piece of crap... lol...

Yeah, haha, I haven't read too many good reviews on them, but seems like occasionally someone out there has had good luck with theirs? I just took a peek in EE for one of those, and they're running about $1,000-1200. Are they still available to members of the CF, and if so, do the new ones have better QC?

I don't know, And I don't think I have it in me to try to deal with North Sylva ever again.... That in itself is also a major pain in the butt

Here’s hoping that the price comes down after the initial release, otherwise it’s irg.com for a US made Colt for me - $1,349 for a Colt AR15A4 when they had them, so if anyone wants the green furniture that badly, PM me, haha!

Begs the question: If you really want a "C7" why not just buy a Colt AR with a 20 inch, 1:7 twist barrel and paint it green?

Because that's a Colt.

Not a Colt Canada and not Diemaco.

Some people want their replicas to be as close to "actual" as they can get them. These are pretty damn close.

Some don't...

"Yo Bro is that a real Reventon?"...asked nobody ever.

Personally I plan on throwing the furniture in the spares bin and using my own parts.

If an when this ever becomes a "discounted" firearm.

I posted this in another thread, but here it is anyways. I e-mailed Korth about it and this was the reply:

Hi Mister Donut,

My name is Steve Corlett I work for Korth group who you contacted about the Canadian Colt rifles. At this time there is not a mil –plan discount in effect but I know there is talk of putting one together please keep us in mind and check in from time to time.

Thanks Steve

Too true. And these aren't even replicas. They are identical to options offered from Diemaco for government sale as true semi-auto C8s. There is no difference between these Diemaco semi autos, and the semi autos being sold to government agencies. The CF aren't the only ones carrying C7s and C8s.

Thanks for posting that gem.

lmfao... CC specifically stated these were marketed at Mil/LEO for "target practise on their own time" and no discount is in the works? :jerkit:

...and I just found Chinese knockoff C7 on Lever Arms for $600.
I know I might have a flood of angry people telling me that I shouldn't buy cheap Chinese crap when I can buy expensive Colt crap. As for the roll marks, I don't really care. I just want a similar configuration to practice for PWT3, and maybe service rifle competitions. Bottom line is any replica C7 you buy will be missing an important fire select feature. Canada is pretty much a communist country anyway, so you may as well buy Chinese! cou:

Anyone own a Lever Arms copy? Do they function? I've never had a stoppage with my Norc M4, so I'm willing to take a chance.

Man, I’ve been waiting for a range review on these. I’m in Vancouver too, so I’ve gone to Lever and handled it. What can I say, it felt like a C7 (minus the Elcan, green furniture and other bits). Whether it performs the same is a whole different thing. I’ve got a Norc CQA and have never had a problem with it.

Apparently, it’s got a hammer-forged barrel as well,a nd we all know, that despite Norcs low-QC as far as finish is concerned, they use some pretty damn good steel. Anyway, I sort of want to try one of these out as well, but I really don’t need another complete rifle, just the 20-in upper.

I didn't hear that one. Rebel Rouser did say that there was a copyright issue because the colour belonged to DND, however.

This contradicts the email I received from Korth indicating the opposite. When was your email sent?

We'll Korth went back on their word. No Leo/mil deal. Confirmed today via email. I was told in an email in July from Korth this was a sure deal from them and would be in place by end of Aug.

Big surprise. This whole Mil/LEO appreciation crap out of CC (and Korth) has been a pile of Bovine Scatology from the baseline. If they wanted troops to have the rifles they would have made them a price troops could afford. They knew perfectly well that what they were releasing was in fact a collectors item for high end AR shooters who had to have the CC roll-mark. Neither CC nor Korth have stupid people in their marketing departments. This was all as it was supposed to be.

I would agree with you 100%. They did a market analysis to find out the highest pricey could get out of these and made it as such. It's a big F U to us claiming these are the 30th anniversary rifles and we're made for us. That was clearly not the case. The bigger F U is now releasing the green furnature as a up sell..... That's a kick in the nuts. Thanks Colt Canada and Korth
