Colt Canada IUR 15.7 PREMIUM CARBINE

I hate to be a downer and bust yer bubble, but I very very highly doubt that anything less than an SA20 or SA15.7 complete rifle sans butchering will have a genuine CC BCG in it. Trust me on that one...

Unless they bought some colt BCGs from the states and put them in. But I would expect they would brag up the fact that it has a colt BCG.

You are wrong.
Here is the quote from the Ellwood Epps email to me:

"The Colt IUR rifle you purchased from our store (SKU #95613) was a new rifle shipped from Colt Canada through our Colt Canada distributor. Colt does not outsource parts for their AR rifles, therefore I am confident that the bolt carrier group in your rifle is a Colt product, and not an aftermarket item."

^ Post a picture of the markings on your BCG when you get it. Then we'll see who's wrong. The product has gone from Colt, to the distributor, to Epps.
If it's a new SKU than it's the first anyone has heard of it, and there are some Colt Canada nutbars on here.
The 'distributor' was also selling complete IUR rifles with OMNI polymer lowers if I'm not mistaken.

Zackly,
I'll tell the poor guy again, hate to burst yer bubble... but I very highly doubt you will have a genuine CC BCG regardless of what they tell you. Proof will be when you pull it out and show us the CC stamped on the carrier...that is, if it's an over-run IUR upper mated with these recent lowers that have been released.

I would be confident when you puller out and see "CC" stamped on the carrier ;)

I am willing to bet a small sum that the BCGs that are being sourced from "our Colt Canada distributor" will turn out to come from 'high standard' or other company...

Given that O'Dell is the CC distributor, and given that O'Dell seems to have not advertised these new 'Premium Carbines,' I'm going out on a limb and concluding that these are not CC factory items.

I'd welcome a comment from O'Dell though.

Got to try my colt IUR today but only at 28 meters from a sitting position on a bench and supporting the rifle by hand using back up sights. Anxious to try it at 100 yards to see how it will group. Fired 5 shots taking my time then 10 rapid fired shots.

With match ammo don't be surprised by sub moa 5 shot groups. With 55 grain federal bulk moa and half ish maybe tighter on a nice day if I do my job, but realistically around 1.5 inches.

Kevin from Epps got back to me and assures me that the IUR Carbine comes directly from COLT Canada through the Colt Canada distributor and has all Colt parts.
It is not the same as the Flaherty rifle with the ATI BCG.
Feel a hell of a lot better about the purchase now.

We get them through the same company man. Check the BCG it when you get it in, then use the email to push for a discount. If I'm wrong I'll be pleasantly surprised, but if I'm right I'll be smugly satisfied. Future variants are planned to come with Colt BCG's from what I hear in the pipeline, but none of the rifle combos currently out came with one (outside of the SA20/SA15.7)

Ulp, a hint about what's in the pipeline?!?

I wonder if O'dell is just clearing out the CC parts bin before introducing some other full rifles, and that's the reason for things like the 'premium carbine'.....

Also wonder what the reaction will be if, for example, CC BCG's are suddenly available... in limited #s of course.... ;)

(hm.... now where did I leave that credit card...)
