Will have to be a nay for me, at least for now. I would be willing to pay 1500-ish, maybe a little more...2100-2300 for a basic rifle is just too much for me. Sucks, because I really want one of these.

So $2300 for a C8A3 or $2100 for the C7A2. Uhmm, don't think so! I'd buy a sweet PWS piston gun instead for the same money. Sorry Diemaco, you won't see my pennies at that price point but I'm sure there will be more than enough folks who will line up for one.

Diemaco rifles are not built to any higher standard.

Don't forget, we used to believe AR's were $2000+ because we were fed the Import fee, duty fee, taxes, shipping, blah , blah line for years. Now we know AR's are not 50% more because of that, thanks IRUNGUNS.

This Rifle is made in Ontario, there are no duties, import fees, government forms, long waits , etc. This Rifle should be $1100 - $1300 like the rest of the plain jane rifles out there. Period.

Are they using our tax dollars to sell us Rifles we paid for? LOL

Sorry. Edit: I have started to look around at what kind of AR's you can get for $1500-$1800. Noveske. KAC. BCM. PWS. Hundreds less. By Far the Colt is Not Worth Even Close to $2200.

Wait until you see the prices of the Colt LE6920's we just got, you can buy close to 2 of these for 1 of those..

Exactly....

"The company expects a market for the product as many police officers and military personnel have inquired about acquiring their own versions of Colt products for sport shooting and practice."

Must be for a pay-grade that's beyond me.

It was my understanding that Colt Canada is not aloud to be competitive with Colt Hartford. big brother is watching.
but after talking with my source at Colt Canada ,these high prices are not what was talked about at the management meetings. these seem to be coming from the distributer ?????

Have you seen the Sunshine List here in Ontario. ... Over $100K is becoming the norm.

Korth group is the distributor.

Without any importation it must be the "Canada" fee. I can't say that I'm entirely surprised to hear of a crazy cost increase coming from a distributor.

Years ago I read something about the C7 rifle that highlighted all the little improvements they had over a standard AR15. Could very well be Dimaco propaganda.

Truth of the matter is they won't have any problem selling out the limited edition rifles at $2100 a pop. If they are only planning on releasing 5000 rifles here and there they can charge practically whatever they want and it'll be paid by some. I could buy 3 of these and make a profit off them a few months after they are sold out.

Supply and demand. I seen a $1049 KelTec KSG going for $2500 on the EE here before they started randomly showing up in shops again.

They are Not selling 5000 Rifles. LOL Lucky to sell 50.

I hope they get bought up down south...and IRG can bring them back for $12oo

What has to happen is NOBODY buy them! Let them Sit on them. Eventually they will be sold off.
