Anyone know if these are available? Looking for the 4.25"bbl and blued....
Please share your opinions, (good, bad, & the ugly)
Thanks

there is one Colt Commander for sale in EE section, manufactured in 1973 and is one of the rare satin nickel matte variants
not long ago I saw one for sale also with blued finish

I just sold this one...

I'm certain I'll regret the decision, but my collection is going in a different direction, and I'm confident it's going to a good home...:D

In my opinion the finest defensive pistol ever made.
Jeff Cooper would agree.

I have one set up for Single Stack IPSC and it works very well.

The slightly reduced sight radius is offset by how quickly it points coming up out of the holster. The lighter weight (compared to a 1911) means slightly more felt recoil and flip, but adds to the pointability. The shorter slide means faster cycle times and when properly sprung, the front sight returns to target very nicely.

in the words of obi wan kenobi "its a weapon from a more civilized time..."

My preference if involved in a ballistic event would be something made of polymer and metal and pre bill C68 magazine capacity ;-)
