I still think that extremely long mag looks ridiculous. Not sure why they made it like that, Black Dog Machine's mags are the same length as a regular 30rnd ar mag, this company just felt the need to be different?

I watched the action when he fired it and it looks unique to a .22 rifle. Can the AR guys who have .22 conversions confirm/deny that for me? This maybe yet another degree of separation that will make it non-restricted.

I am sure it is true, but I wonder if the upper and lower on this thing is the same as the 180B whereas you can't change it out with anything else. Again, that may further help in the non-restricted issue.

There is no mag limit restriction for rimfire. There are supposed to be 10 round mags available though.

That what she says!!!!!!!!!.....lol. Anyhoo it looks like they are trying to make some big differences in the looks so at a glance the gun would stand out. I am all for that, then we can buy aftermarket mags to look the way it should.

I highly doubt the length or shape of a mag would be the only determining factor when deciding if a rifle was prohibited or not.

Just like the black color and AR styled stock would have no bearing on the functinal aspect. Hmmmmmm Armi Yager's were restricted rimfire due to looks only.

Considering all the BS hoops manufacturers and distributors have to go through to be appeased, I am amazed the requests aren't more ridiculous.

Yeah, I think he was eluding to the fact that if this Umarex M4 uses different magazines than its restricted "rimfire AR" counterparts, it stands to help provide further substantive proof that it should be classed as non-restricted.
