Colt M4??

From another forum:

Quote:
It is a complete gun, the upper/lower are incompatible with any other weapon.

The stock, grip, and even trigger group can be replaced with any standard AR15/M4 part. With the exception of the rail system (the Smith comes with an integral quad rail) you can set up the gun more or less identical to your work/fighting gun. The magazines are designed dimensionally to fit in normal M4 mag pouches.

Smith is guessing they'll sell fifty thousand in the first twelve months of production. Street price is expected to be $450.
As I understand it, the topic of this thread is the 'Colt/Umarex M4 Carbine' and the quote above is referencing another product entirely, that being the Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22. Does anyone know if there are plans to make the S&W available for sale here in Canada? From the information I have read, it is superior to the Umarex product.

Thank you.

I hope its safe to link since it's a sponsor.

The S&W 15-22 looks good too, I think I would go with that, and it costs $500 USD. If they end up costing between $600 - $700 CD, thats still cheaper than buying a 10-22 and makeing it look like an AR.

An 8.5" Grizzly for a 16" barrel or a 12.5" Grizzly for a 20" barrel under that would make it perfect IMO.

If its reliable I may pick one up and a Grizzly.

We have also ordered these guns along with numerous other dealers. We hope for the best (delivery...non-restricted) but always expect the worst. Phil.

They look ridiculously long indeed, but I'll be damned if that'll become an impediment to me purchasing one! :D
