Our dollar is trash compared to our American friends because the stupid Liberals continue to spend Kanadian taxpayers into bankruptcy. C$26 billion dollars added to our deficit last year alone. Kanada is lost & broke! (My rant)
I figured Colts new Python would sell for C$1950.00, a hefty price to be sure. C$2199.00 is the pre-order price. Add $850.00 or so bucks & my STI TargetMaster in 9mm becomes a reality. Or does it?

I'm glad I'm pretty much out of the revolver-shooting game... However I'd bet that a 686 with a trigger job will shoot just as well as one of these. I'd also be willing to wait a year or two to see what happens to the price.

Low $cdn isn’t good for us peons but it is good for Canadian businesses that export.

Not sure where you are getting your values but the dollar is at $0.77, not $0.65.
Also, the CDN was at Par when the US economy was tanking, not because of anything Canada was doing. Right now the US "economy" is seen as doing well because Drumpf cut taxes for business and the wealthy which is making business bottom lines look good but has done nothing to help actual everyday Americans.

There is only one reason a dollar falls against the world reserve currency. Every other reason cited is bullshony.
For decades I've been buying from the USA every single month. I'm ballparking the true currency exchange rates; not the BS price point quoted, because nobody exchanges currency at that rate.

yes..they will Defiantly flood the market. This is a business,.their goal- to make as much many as they can,,,& stay in business in a tough economic market.
They will do the same thing Harley Davidson did on their Anniversary bike, ....they said it was going to be made in small numbers and be Very Collectible...... LOL, they made more of that model than ant other. Money, money, money.
P,S I did buy the Harley at a grossly inflated price.... had tons of trouble with it and sold it for 1/4 of the price...YIKES.
I dont think the Python prices will drop anywhere near that.
Although........If Colt trys to keep up with an insane demand.....the same thing that happened to Harley "loss of quality control" could happen here to. then the prices would drop.
