Colt Python price posted

Does any currency other than the world reserve matter?
Were we discussing buying Pythons in any currency other than USA-CDN?

1) Yes. 2) You decided to take the conversation from buying Pythons and move it into the political realm.

NO! our dollar was actually higher than the US dollar in 2011.

Yes, I'm aware. I was pointing out that our dollar still sucked compared to other currencies like the Pound or the Euro. That indicates the it wasn't actually that we had some huge economic wins, but rather the U.S. had some huge economic losses. There was this market carsh in 08 you might have heard about.

Believe and type whatever you want.

All economists in "power" are Keynesians or variants, because Keynesian nonsense is all that university-trained economists are taught. Which is why they are frakking clueless.

If you choose, read some Austrian School economics.

There is only one reason a dollar falls against the world reserve currency. Every other reason cited is bullshony.

For decades I've been buying from the USA every single month. I'm ballparking the true currency exchange rates; not the BS price point quoted, because nobody exchanges currency at that rate.

i thought keynes spirit was gone ....

Serious q. Why do some people prefer blued over stainless? Is it just personal taste or is there more to it?

Aesthetically it just looks better to some people. On the down side, it wears easily but some people like wear marks on a blued gun.
There are people in the USA, Clint Smith being one of them, who carry $10K + USD Heirloom Precision 1911's in blued finish and just let the finish wear occur.

stainless is much more practical. It still picks up scratches (even hardchrome gets superficial scratches from use) but one can just bead blast it if it bothers you.

Carbon steel is harder.

After having both I found the carbon buildup on my stainless guns makes them look like $hit but even with lots of shooting done blued ones still look nice. The blued ones are like those pewter colored cars, you don't know they're dirty until you wash them.
