OK, so I figure this one has been discussed before and I even seem to recall a thread on this, but a search turned up nothing.
Here is my question: I am used to Norinco etc 1911A1 types without the Series 80 firing pin block safety feature. Now I have acquired a Series 80 Gold Cup and find the trigger pull unusual with that little creep where you lift that plunger clear of the firing pin. The trigger breaks crisp at the end, but that little creep before you get to the final break kind of throws me off.
Does anyone else find this about Series 80s and do you have any tricks for dealing with it? And I am not about to disable the safety if that is what you are thinking. I am looking for mental tricks to overcome this.
Thanks,
CD
