Complete IUR's

So does this rifle have an official name or designation from Colt Canada, or is it something the retailers/wholesalers sort of put together? I've seen this one already:
"Enhanced Complete IUR Guns with Colt BCG". Doesn't exactly sound like a model name/number.

What's the difference? These are all direct from CC. They are complete guns from CC.

I only have 2 things to add:

1) CC is new at this whole civilian end user thing. I don't think what we've witnessed is some evil marketing ploy as much as them "winging it" with respect to releasing product to civilians.

2) I wish LAV would pop in and have a laugh at how some Canadians continue to be butthurt about access (albeit clunky access) to CC offerings.

I grabbed an IUR and Enhanced Lower about 2 months ago for approx $1800+ all in. Poor thing doesn't even have a BCG in it, and been searching for the extended handle since. This all feels like a kick in the teeth.

Yeah I'm in the same position, I bought mine the end of October days before the blemished ones came about. I don't have the enhanced ambi lower just the standard one but at least have a bcg and ch with it. Worst part is all this unfolded before I even have it in my hands, it finally shipped today...

Love the IUR. Its beefy and very solid.
You notice the difference in weight when I compare it to the SA20.
I just put my SA20 upper in my safe and I'm training with the IUR upper with my SA20 lower.

What are the rollmarks on these? Thats the only way to tell if its a pieced up rifle (albeit by CC), if it's still the blank Diemaco marked lower it is nothing more than that.
Don't get me wrong I still want one lol. But maybe the next ones will be rollmarked Colt Canada and laser etched IUR15.7 (for a very limited run of course)...

The IUR were surplus from a Danish Military overrun. The Danish Military uses select fire lower receivers. As these are built on semi auto lower receivers they are obviously matched up by Colt Canada.

The sa15.7 and sa20 complete guns were the only ones with the laser etched lowers. These will have Diemaco blank lower. The Diemaco blank lowers are no different than any other lower CC provides to LEO or Gov't contract. Same semi auto lower.

This Ă—1000.

Dont sell some thing as a "very limited supply" and then proceed to reduce the price to half and still say its limited after completely saturating the market. Lol.

Yes it moves product, but it also becomes a tread mill that people are starting to bail off of after realizing CC intedntions. I used to want to collect CC, now I am not in the slightest bit interested. None of it is rare except for the IUR rail cover and green furniture it seems.

The limited supply is probably true, the interpretation of the word "very" is what is up for debate. If they made 100 or 100,000 they are still available in limited numbers. That treadmill you speak of is what keeps most businesses afloat. Most of what is for sale is gimmicks and garbage, yet people continue to buy it. Apple does the same thing with their products. Over hype the sh*t out of a mediocre product and convince the masses they must have the latest and newest piece of near useless technology. The Brick always has some "huge tent sale!" going on. I don't think they've ever not had some sort of sale happening in the store. The reality is that the furniture never sold for the "original marked price". That over inflated value was put on the tag to convince you that the sale price that is $400, $500, $1000 lower is really a bargain. Same story for the "below cost" marketing plow. No one sells below cost, it's a gimmick.

I do realize that, what I meant is weren't the Diemaco marked lower a one time thing, brought back for nostalgia for the SA15.7 and SA20? aren't the lowers provided to LEO or Gov't contract CC marked instead of Diemaco?
Never handled one so I cannot tell, but that was my understanding.

LEO guns marked with the Devtec were still being sold new recently. A mix of CC and D marked lowers were still coming down the pipe. The only difference between the LEO lower and the SA lowers is that the LEOs have DS to end the serial number, and the SA have DB.

I'm sure eventually the last of the semi auto D marked lowers will disappear, and the Colt Canada logo ones will appear.

There are "Colt Canada" script lowers with the D on them issued to LEOs. Lots of them.

I'm still quite happy with my purchase. Especially since I have the SA15.7 lower for my IUR. The colors match up better and the 15.7 markings are always nice.

You pay a premium on any item when you want it right away. Although I agree the marketing gimmick was pretty poor in taste...

Hopefully this means we can expect to see some different variations of the IUR in the near future. I really wanna to do a 20" IUR build...

Yes--I'd love a 20" IUR. Hopefully with at least a medium or heavy bbl
16" ish bbl lengths are a dime a dozen...

pretty sweet set up! last pic doesnt look like an IUR tho so idk...

So am I, hopefully mag release and charging handle are available eventually.
according to some info in the "premium carbine" thread that FA bolt is very unlikely tho, it will probably be the same hybrid we have in our SA, I guess we'll see. Wish I could pick one up for sure anyway especially since I know the IUR are Danish overrun...
