Composite Stocks

A Classic style hunter stock, with open grip, cheekpiece, a little bit of cast off, and a nice trim forend. I need one for a Brno ZG-47 (Large ring 98).

For hunting, a copy of Mcmillans version of the Sako Hunter as well as a copy of their Remington Classic. Offering these in a variety of inlets would be a big win.

A stock I have yet to try but would probably really like is Mcmillans Remington Varmint stock. It is also a sako-esque stock.

Looking forward to more options this side of the border.

With respect to a hunting stock, IMHO there would be a significant advantage in providing one with an adjustable length of pull via a butt spacer system. Thus the fit you enjoy in the summer could be acquired in the fall and winter as well. If an express style stock was contemplated, it would benefit from an open pistol grip style, where McMillan's version tends to crowd the trigger guard. Perhaps new stocks could be sold with a complimentary bedding kit and pillars ready to install, that way the installer can be sure of getting them the correct length, while it would save a step in the manufacturing process.

Ian you probably know more about this game than anyone on this site. My brother is going to Bisley again this year with one of your stocks . I myself am more interested in hunting stocks but don't know if the market there exceeds the target rifle or F class shooter. I would like to see a hunting stock as good as the Brown pounder that came externally finished for the more popular custom type hunting rifles such as Remington Win Sako and some of the amusers available in both R&L hand actions. Myself I prefer a raised comb or Monte carlo design so your eye will line up with the scopes.

Light hunting stocks for me!

What kind of price points will they have? Hopefully in-line with B&C stocks ~$300. I think something that is not much more then a Boyd's but is reasonably priced to the point where you don't have to worry scuffing it up while hunting would do real good, if you can justify selling at that price that is.
