Confusing search engine on Epps' website

must give credit where its due, they always reply to my emails in a timely fashion, and the used stock is comprehensive, but the site is not user friendly and it is not easy to find that stock
in pursuit of trying to make it super searchable, they made it too complicated - the calibre group is nonsensical with multiple overlaps

they really have to list all manufacturers, as soon as that is done, 90% of users will be satisfied

seriously, look at wolverines site, miles ahead, search is great
Just cause I don't use this forum much doesn't mean I'm trolling. FYI all you guys should just shut up and go deal with someone else cause you obviously have no idea what it takes to design and manage a website. I have used many other sites and I have to say epps is one of the best, they update their stock every couple of hours during the day... I don't see these other websites listing all their used guns and providing descriptions and an overall condition of the rifles. I have called and emailed epps probably 20 times this week and I have to say i get a reply within 10 hours every time which I can't say about these other sites you guys are listing either...

Unfortunately with the lack of firearm retailers in the area, Epps will continue to deal as they deem fit. Although the store is like rummaging through a flea market you can still deal with a retail outlet and not some internet / online dealer that has no direct means of contact other than a cell phone number and an e-mail address. A proper store front gives a business some credibility more so than a flashy website. That being said I still find their site to be lacking in user friendly application.

I didn't seem to have a problem finding what I was after as long as know what you want. Definitely not a browsing website. Lately I can't get it to work at all. I press a button to say find handguns and all it does is think about it.

The website works just fine! I think they did a very stand up job on trying to organize and display their inventory. Theres somethings that could be added like photos and better search engine. But the site on the whole is probably one of the easier sites to find things your looking for with multiple search catagories and the ability to display by price, date added, make and so on! I've bought 4 guns from them this week and absolutely love their site other then requesting pictures is a bit of a pain!

Keep up the good work guys! Websites are always an improving thing and no matter what you do people will complain.

Having bought a Rifle from them in the past (old website design) I can say that the old site was better and the new one sucks,,,

hellsrelentless are you for real? No photos and better search engine, but it's an easy site to find things, are you kidding,,,

If Epps can't be bothered with making their customers happy why should I offer them my business when there are other companies working harder for my business through better website info, pictures and ease in finding even basic items,,,

with the ammout of money these guys are making your'd think they could of got someone to make a good website i'm just thinking of all the people who visit and realize it's useless and how much buisness they are actually losing all because of the website excellent store and some of the most knowledgeable staff hunting or fishing they should have a better site

Looks like you where called out in a previous thread...
Amazing every single post has been a Troll!! ha:
Not a wonder Wolverine didn't want your business!!
I'll "just shut up and go deal with someone else" now...
Welcome to my ignore list............

For the record, IMHO, Epps is a great store, was an old website but easy and informative, now it's a terrible website!! That is all!

Grouse River never updates its site to show what is actually in stock

Cabelas, Wholesale Sports, Grouse River and Wanstalls all have good secure websites and Lebarons website is primitive yet with SSL security.
Ellwood Epps site isn't even secure and there's no way I'd order with a credit card on it.

The Grouse River site is fine except that they never update it to show what they actually have available. They show everything under the sun in stock. The realtity is that for every item I ever have tried to buy from them, they did not have it in stock and this resulted in lot phone calls and a complete waste of customer's time.

At least , it would appear that Elwood Epps has a huge variety of firearms in stock and ready to ship. It certainly is a refreshing change from the never ending " out of stock" that is so common on other Canadian sites.Just to add my 2 cents worth, I recently bought a rifle off their web site and have no complaints.

These topics and concerns have been addressed in several previous threads. There are many suggestions on how to use our website, and many reports from customers and web-browsers alike who agree that once you take the time to learn what the new site can do for you, it is a vast improvement over the old site. There is no need to rehash these responses again.

We thank you all for your input, and will take your opinions and suggestions into consideration as we continue to develop not only our website, but our store in general.
