Rishu_Pepper came out to Vokes Range in Chilliwack and shot his first ever 300-600m match this weekend.
He was only going to come out for the Saturday but I believe he had so much fun that it was easy to talk him into showing up for today as well.
RP placed 3rd in F-Open in his first match and even beat myself and the other shooters on a few relays.
Congratulations on your first match......hope to see you at many more.
I think he will be a force to be reckoned with with a little more trigger time under his belt.
We had some wicked switchy conditions at Vokes this weekend (worst I have seen there) and winds that were tossing hats off heads so keeping them in the 4 was a good thing. The 3's sure sucked tho...LOL
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Machinist shot in his second ever match at Vokes this weekend (last time was over a year ago) and also placed 3rd in the F-TR Class.
I had the pleasure of shooting with Machinist and scoring for RP all day today.
Unfortunately the powers that be had only plaques for the Winner and Runner up in each of the F-Classes.......It would have been nice to a see these new shooters receive some hardware to take home.
I know Chris was pretty pumped about his performance and so he should be, he was up against some of the best shooters in BC in the aforementioned switchy, horrible, windy conditions today and yesterday.
The only thing missing from the weather was a thunderhead to make some of the wet coasters feel more at home.
Congrats guys.....
