Consignment Early 1700s Flintlock Pistol No PAL Required

Excluded from all promotions and Discount Codes20251020_141116.jpg

Estimated to be from the early 1700s this lightly embellished antique has no visible markings.

No attempts were made to remove the action from the wood stock to look for hidden markings; the previous owner was not interested in risking damage to the wood.

With no visible markings we are left guessing that this is likely Dutch or Belgian, but may possibly be Italian (as per the seller).

While it does seem to be fully functional, it is highly recommended that this gun be carefully inspected before any attempt to fire it.

Pretty cool pistol, wonder how it’s oils actually shoot or if it’s safe to shoot
The seller said he was not willing to shoot it.

It does function however. The springs for the c0ck and the frizzen are very good and it did spark when we dry-fire tested it. The touch hole is clear and light shines through into the barrel. So while it technically could be fired, it may require an x-ray for cracks or weak spots, before actually attempting to fire it. A qualified gunsmith with experience in this area should be consulted.

Buyer beware.
