thanks Ben, but can ammo make that big of a differance, and is this as good as it gets for federal??
Hahahaha....no problem. Your next hurdle will be finding those dry & windless days for tossing rimfire far far downrange!Et Tu Brutus? Thank you, will try.

how is your trigger? tell me more about it.
Is your cheek resting on the same spot on your stock each time?
even cheap ammo has more consistancy. There are a few small factors at play, tighten them up and you will see great improvements.
Ammunition can be a huge factor. My Cooper 22lr averages around .400" for five shots at 50 yards with SK Standard Plus, but with Midas, the groups are about half of that. With cheap bulk loads, the groups average around 3/4".
I use the Standard Plus in that rifle, because I just won't pay the price to shoot the Midas loads, but I want better accuracy, than the bulk loads provide.
I am using the same SK Standard Plus in my Anschutz 54 match, and with aperture sights, I have put nine shots into 5/8" at 50 yards. With a scope, I have no doubt that I could do much better.
