Continuation of "Non-Restricted ACR Blues"

I was planning my next purchase with them. Not anymore. Its too bad they sell guns you cant find at other gunstores. Ah well, KAC it is I guess.

Between this, blaxsun's misfortune, and my personal experience with their customer service that is it for me too, and I'm telling every gun enthusiast I know to boycott.

said it before, I'll say it again... a business needs us, the customer, we do not need them... there's other options out there that actually deserve our hard earned cash.

I usually take these 'carp sessions' with a grain of salt, as there are always two sides to a story.
HOWEVER, in this case, it completely supports my recent experiences with Questar.
I, believe, that I was probably one of the first people doing business with them, way back, and had nothing but exemplary service.
In the last couple of years, as well as the SCAR fiasco, I have had numerous dealings which have all had negative outcomes on the basis of a lack of support from the dealer.
I, too, was lured back by the siren call of 'unobtanium' which Questar seemed uniquely to provide, but no more....I will never do business with them again.
Considering the volume of dealings that I have had with them in the past, I was astounded by their lack of concern, and their cavalier attitude of "Buyer Beware" applies here.

If you were following Blaxsun's issue with his LMT barrel, Scott finally caved and offered him a refund. While I am happy for Blaxsun :D, I would love to know why I was not afforded the same courtesy. He spent a couple hundred on a barrel, I spent a couple thousand on a rifle. Why is there no comment or response from Questar?? I want him to publicly explain the contradictions and lies that are more than obvious given the direct quotes that I have posted.

These issues potentially affect all the non-res ACR barrels and rifles that they have sold. As well, I believe that these kind of things belong in the Black & Green Rifle Forum so that people seeking to purchase these types of rifles can better understand the companies they should be dealing with. I am a little disheartened that CGN keeps moving posts that directly affect black rifle users into the Questar forum (where they will get less exposure) and allows them to be locked, only to fizzle and die.

+1

The word "unobatanium" has been used very loosely by many on this forum if not all dealers, the truth is they are just charging an extra premium on the gun.

Usually a couple extra grand on something already over priced. Just look at the premium being charged on a Swiss arms rifle, now that is over priced in my opinion. I could be wrong...but I doubt it.

I followed "Blaxsun's" threads very closely... and dude this takes the cake! Lies wrapped in lies should get a seller on here banned... I realize that phone conversations are hearsay, but I'm taking "angryeyebrows" at his word, since i've not seen the vendor chime in to contradict him. I'm in the market for some high end firearms to purchase and shall be doing some major research on vendors and how they conduct themselves with their customer base prior ro placing any orders. One things for sure, I know where i'm not buying.

Sad but true. Any word on what happened to Mark. He was always quick to defend when he's right or stand up when he's wrong.

So is Mark no longer associated with Questar. Could be the new head is more of a bean counter or tech type than a customer service business type. Could mean the end of a good thing.

Silence and deflection are generally the abode or the guilty. Sadly seems to be the case here...

Lots of other good retailers though:)

Every quote in my post is taken directly from emails... grammatical errors and all! The only reason I'm not posting up the emails is because there is personal info strewn about in most of them, that would not be suitable for a public forum.

Jeeziz.... You have physical electronic proof that he stated that it was test fired by the certified repair shop? Oooooooooo that's a tastey tid-bit... I thought he had just stated that in a phone conversation. :sok2

No no, he emailed me with that response. Crazy right? It's like he was trying to beef up his argument that there was nothing wrong with the barrel! Why he would think that I wouldn't simply contact Gravel to check on that, is beyond me!

Nope. They refused to acknowledge that their barrel was faulty, even after being provided with a third parties assessment!

Brutal.

Questar needs to step up to the plate, and quick. Their 750+ dollar import service is almost absurd to use now, when guys like prophet river do it for what, 200? their service used to go a looong way, but with it going downhill like this, bad news for them.

Even wholesale sports will return an actual defective gun when it's stated as a "final sale" or ship the gun back on their dime to get it fixed.

wow what fail... so only consumers get banned on this website, not anyone paying ad space?? i can't believe after reading that anyone would even try and defend their service!
SO GLAD I DID NOT ORDER AN ACR FROM YOU!

I bought a few accessories from Questar recently and they screwed up on one of them. They immediately pay for the return shipping and shipped the correct one out to me.
Both Scott and Derek were awesome...so maybe I was lucky?

I bought a Sig that had a wrong part in it. I never got an apology and my faxes of the bill that I paid to return it kept disappearing and emails went unanswered. They lost a customer over $30.

I just ordered 10 mags from them so hopefully those are ok. Are all LAR mags the same? I ordered a few from frontier and some from questar...they were the exact same mag. The quality didnt seem great but i figured they all came from the same place. With a few of the mags i had feed issues and some of them were tighter and wouldnt drop out of the rifle.

Is there something better out there? I feel kinda stupid for ordering another 10 of them since i wasnt super happy with the first ones but the sale price got me.
