Wow, amazing photos. thanks for sharing. Down here in my neck of the woods, the grouse are really spooked easily. I've been trying all season so far to shoot just one, but they keep winning by giving me an empty fry pan. If the birds were that easy to shoot, I'd feel guilty about shooting them.
