You'd rather have a base-model bare bones US made AR from a company called "Good Time Outdoors" that makes Airboats than a Canadian - Made Billet AR with quad rail and lifetime warranty (including the barrel!) from a company that makes Aircraft? While I respect a manufacturers choice to not reveal their sub contractors - CORE has chosen to use DPMS parts kits which is quite publicly known to be made in mainland China. I think I have heard that NEA also has military contracts. So all things being "un"equal - I know where my money is going. My only concern is that I can't keep my hard earned money here in BC. Frankly I think Wanstalls dropped the ball on this one, I had hoped that they would have chosen to support a Canadian Company.
I guess I don't understand the argument.
The argument is the fact you rely in the interwebs for your information instead of facts. I know for a fact core has us military and police contracts( which really does not matter). And if they in fact use dpms parts from china (which they don't) at least I know what's in my gun! NEA has made it clear they will not disclose who makes their internals which is fine but it's not for me, warranty regardless add the fact their original release picture where taken with an iPhone with a bed sheet as background also makes me think they are small company and I wouldn't anything from them. An AR manufacturer having military contracts is nothing new and is very common. Dlask has some, Blue Line has some just to name a couple Canadian companies plus add the million US companies then throw in whatever offshore manufacturer you want and you will have enough military contracts to arm everyone on the planet. Canadian made ARs are nothing new and personally i dont know what the hype is. Dlask has been making Canadian built ARs for years. I have one it comes with armalite guts and is all built in Canada for not much more then a NEA.
Stop trolling a sites sponsors forum to hype a different product that they made a choice not to carry for a reason, not because they dropped the ball as you put it. If its that great why hasnt a BC dealer picked them up yet? Wanstalls found a superior product for the same money with a proven track record. Not to mention wanstalls is pretty much IMO one of the leading shops in Canada when it comes to new and hard to find firearms and complaining because they chose not to carry a product that is completely un-proven and quite frankly limited to a small market is silly. Sfrc has a pre sale if you want one so bad go to that forum and join the masses an talk about the lasers and what color stocks your going to put on it.
So what does it all boil down to? NEA has no track record and is completely up in the air things like a lifetime warranty to me either means they are built like a brick sh!t house and are the most amazing guns ever made or the latter of the 2 which is thy are getting para dirt cheap from somewhere that makes it affordable to supply a lifetime warranty, and they will get back logged on warranty relies and there will be I hate NEA threads popping up everywhere. I seriously hope I'm wrong but from my experiences with "amazing" new products After the hype dies down the products shows it's true colors and NEA as a company will be in te spot light.
I hope NEA has a break through product and it makes them rich and they all retire but only time will tell. Call me what you want but that's my opinion and gash darn I'm entitles to it
I heart u Wanstalls... Feel free to import more kick a$$ products for me to buy
