Hi,
I got one on Monday (took about one week from the time I ordered it!). I have not try it yet, but it's really easy to install, the quality of the product is great and it looks bad*ss. I have a Rem 700P with a 26 inches barrel. Here is the picture. Pretty happy with the result and the ordering process.![]()
Have your barrel threaded and when ordering a brake, order the gunsmith install version.
Brakes work by stripping gasses from the bullet as it passes through the baffles in the brake. The only way to get a nice "tight" fit and ensure the bullet is coming through the brake centered, is to have the gunsmith install it and use your muzzle as a center for opening the brake to the correct diameter and location. Spin on and clamp on brakes will help some but may not be as potentially effective as is possible.
