...? Brass is a non-ferrous metal, so it depends on what you mean by 'corrosion'. Brass will tarnish/oxidize, but it won't rust like a ferrous metal. It is because of this fact that brass has been historically (to some extent still) used on salt water ships' fasteners/furniture.
You'll also notice powder flasks can be brass, there are really two reasons for this 1) corrosion resistant. 2) won't produce a spark if struck against something hard. []
It is damaging to brass, if left uncleaned. If you leave brass cartridge untouched after shooting blackpowder in them, they turn green from the fouling. I am not sure if they would pit as deeply and quickly as iron, but they would corrode
