Corwin M44's

I expect these are of above average condition because Corwin tends to get some sweet batches. Very optimistic!

Martin at Corwin-Arms gets most of his Red rifles from Poland, as far as I can tell. He tends to fly over, hand select, and do what he has to to make sure the ones he selected are actually the ones that get shipped, which is no mean feat when you consider the problems with importing arms from anywhere in the former East Block.

Regardless of the markings on them, I've had nothing but top notch service from Martin, and he doesn't BS. "Hand Select" usually means pristine, unfired. And what he calls "good condition" other dealers would call excellent.

The only problem with buying a Red from Corwin-Arms, is it spoils you from buying from other dealers. I've bought a couple rifles from him, and some Reds from other dealers. As it stands, I wouldn't buy a Red from any other dealer in Canada, at the moment. Great service from him, and his hands on approach to quality control and the buying/import process shows in the quality of stuff he brings in.

These have been up for a while, so I'm surprised that a fellow CGNer hasn't posted something about ordering one. I've been watching for any mentioning of them.

I've wanted an M44 for a long time, after reading this thread and looking at their site I ordered one. Will post pics when it arrives.

Early next week we will get few M38 with laminate stocks from Polish storage. Same eagle markings with letter WP "Wojsko Polskie"

I ordered one of these M44 rifles right after they were put up on corwin arms. Mine is a 1944 made rifle in great condition. It shoots great and is beautiful to look at with only a few minor dings. My only issue is the folding bayonet that doesn't fully click into the locking groove but stays put well enough when firing. As seems to be the usual from Martin I received exceptional customer service and fast shipping. This was the first rifle I had ordered from corwin and a few weeks after I ordered one of their M38. The M44 has painted black metal instead of blued which doesn't bother me but does show more when it gets knocked around. Great trigger (best of all my mosins) and sure kicks like a devil. Over all I'm happy with it for the price I paid, and like I said it made me order another rifle soon after from corwin arms.

Funny I put a new old stock Polish M44 up in the EE a wile ago & never had one PM .
Not even a lowball offer
lol

It seems lately that if you are selling a genuinely good firearm for a realistic price, everyone avoids you like the plague? no "ebola" yeah that's better. Anyway, if you have a hunk of schit and are asking too much, someone will buy it. If you have your average gun that is way too expensive, someone will offer you a price that is reasonable.

Welcome to the current exchange forums, I'm losing interesting in dealing and quickly.
