i have never tried in a levergun, but i know they will not feed weel in an auto. i am not talking about cycling the action, i never expected pressure to be great enough. what i mean is that when i manually cycle my auto sometimes wax rounds will chamber and sometimes the wax bullet just mashes up against my barrel hood. usually the bullet ogive will guide a round into the chamber, but being so soft, sometimes the wax deformes before the round slides in the chamber.
hard and fast seems to work the best for autos. no chance if you baby it in.
