Coyote at the range.

how did you get a timberwolf?? i thought pgw was out of buisness??

They are most definetely in business, otherwise the army's gonna have run yet another sniper rifle trial (remember the C3A1?).

Isn't that how you do it? Oh wait, Montreal. My condolences on that, sorry. Move out west and enjoy the wide open spaces and no rabidly anti-gun provincial governments.

Don't tempt me because I've already considered that possibility. :(

We have a range here an hours drive outside of Edmonton that shoots out to 700 yrds. Best I've done is ringing the "steel gong" out at 400 yrds with my .204 and ringing the gong at 200 yrds with my 6" .44 magnum Taurus over open sights.

How far is that from Grande Prairie? I'll be in the general vicinity...

Genesee(spelling?) is three and a half to four hours depending on how you drive.
Do a bit of searching around GP though and you should be able to find a spot to stretch it out a bit.

OP nice gun and imo the best area of Canada to live in.

Uhhhh YEAH! We can shoot as far as we can see, which in S Alberta is a long dam way. Furthest I ever shot in the field was 2000 yds.

Haha, Qc ranges have a "no-sky rule", the baffles at the firing line and the backstop have to close the gap that would allow you to see the sky, thereby making long ranges next to impossible to implement!!!

Are you shooting with the long range guys at the club?I bought a savage 12fvss in 270wsm but still have yet to get enough time to see what it can really do.I forgot about that plate at 580!Maybe next time!Cheers.

You can hike up on the hill and shoot back down into the pit, 550-600 yards treeline to treeline. Too lazy to climb it yeterday though.:D

That sounds like a great spot! Just need a high energy day! I need to go scouting for a longer range area. Thanks for the pics, Looks great!
