Howdy folks, just wanted to post up a pic of my coyote gun all ready to go. Haven't sighted her in yet, but the gun was a great shooter in the old HS stock. Planning on putting in a Timney very shortly. I love the short compact size, weight is a hair over 10lbs scoped,

Parts:

700 LTR in 223 1 in 7" twist

McMillan M40 Stock, 75% OD, 25% Black (purchased off the EE)

Zeiss Conquest 4.5-14x44 Mil-dot with target turrets

Warne Tactical rail

Leupold PRW rings

Harris BR bipod 9-13"

Going to do some load development, gun seems to prefer 62 - 69 grainers. Any recipes, let me know

Thanks,

Patrick

Looks a lot like my factory fluted 26" XCR LRT which is 1 in 9", although might be hard to see in my pic.

ps, How do you post full size Photobucket images? Mine seems only to allow 77%.

My mistake,

It's a 1 in 9" twist. I have not tried the 80gr VLD's

Gun shoots 69gr Sierras like a house on fire, and does a pretty good job with the 62gr cheapy Fusions as well. 75gr V-max's were so-so but that may have been me that day. I am loving the McMillan M40. It is my second McMillan, as I have just finished a 595 build using an EDGE in the Sako Hunter pattern,

Will post a range report once I can get her on the range,

Cheers,

Patrick

No idea,

I just post the direct link and it works for me, these are super high res images taken with my DSLR though

Balance is awesome, less barrel heavy, more neutral in your hands. I use a blind often for yotes and the 24-26" can be a paint in the a**. That's why I got the LTR to build off,

I'm wondering if I should have went with a 20" too, instead of the 26". Oh well, may have to buy another :D
