I do have small game license, I just thought there may be some additional tagging requirements. Of course, hunting reg brochure shall be read. I am just more curious, lets say, you
shoot 5 coyotes with crappy fur, do you just leave them there or do you have harvest them, bury them, take them home and BBQ them, freeze them in your freezer?
I just dont know what to do with critters you wouldn't typically eat.
Thanks for all the answers.
Geez! are u guys still aloud outside without a liscence in ontario?
I am also interested in this.
My H1 course isnt for about a month so im trying to figure this stuff out on my own. is their a website the someone could direct me to regarding how i can figure out where i can hunt?
Small game is all that is required in ontario for coyotes. You can skin them out and sell the hides through Hudson Bay or one of the other companies.
If they are shot and bloody, you can spend 2 hours skinning, washing, stretching, scraping, and maybe some sewing. If you're lucky they'll fetch $15 for it. Some of the southern ones go for $5, and you have to claim the cash as income.
Now that's a great side job!! Anywhere in Ontario where the coyotes are over populated and they need a few hundred gone?![]()
Just read the regs and you only get two wolf/coyote game seals per season. It ends April 1 as well until September. So much for this year.
