Someone mentioned Groundhog and yes I have eaten them. Not really much different than rabbit, very tasty on the BBQ. Aside from the odor in skinning one (coyote)I wouldn't mind trying it. A few years ago I was gutting a deer and it smelled like urine. I figured he had just pissed on himself to attract the does. Anyway, the meat was great. If I can get some time away from work and luck into one I think I may give it a try.

I usually prepare them as coycat. Same process as turducken
The humour is lost on me I think, but Turducken is freaking awesome.

What do you think bears eat? They both taste good if prepped right. It stinks in here of folks who are talking bad about things they have never tried..
So all these people taking an animal and non have tired it. Guess the days of the ethic, eating what you shoot are long gone. So just a lot of "sport" hunting I guess. Good on the OP for wanting to try it. I have passed on to my kids what was passed on to me. If your not going to eat it don't shoot it.

If you have any livestock or other outdoor animals then shooting coyotes is a part of your life. What if that high horse you like to ride around on had a foal that was killed by coyotes...would you think it through a bit more and feel differently? My wife has a full-length coyote coat provided by my hunting efforts...how about that, up to your standards? Sometimes you don't necessarily eat what shoot...but you minimize the number of your pets and livestock that get eaten by the coyotes.
Do you also fry up any mice or rats that you might trap in your barn or basement? They'd probably be delicious with a helping of Self-righteous Sauce.

i have eaten muskrat and i have to say its good .horse meat sandwiches when i was a kid and when i visit some of my dutch friends .i had a neighbour who ate groundhog.as for eating a coyote i think i will pass on it.
For those that must eat everything they shoot,do you eat the ass holes to? Yes love to shoot and not eat. Sport killing at its best. Don't put your values on others. If it is legal ,who made you all so special to judge what others do or don't do !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well said. It always surprises me that hunters such as radmacks can be so narrow minded to think that any hunting that is different than what they do is unethical.
I'm failing to see the connections you are trying to make between sport hunting and defence of life and property? Maybe you had an emotional reaction to my comment and posted without thinking? So your answer is yes then ?
