My dad went to the same spot again this morning and shot yet another coyote. He didn't take any pictures unfortunately.
Major Sights - If the coyote has a real good hide and tail I will skin them and tan the hide. I just hunt in the morning and evenings. I set up in the morning just before legal shooting time and hunt for an hour or two. In the evenings I set up about an hour before the end of legal shooting time. Where I'm at you don't have to wear orange unless you are hunting during an open gun season for big game. My tips and tricks - do a little bit of research on coyote hunting but then just go out and hunt. You will learn more about hunting coyotes by observing what happens when you set up in the field than you will reading. I usually hunt coyotes with a call. However, I shot these 5 coyotes right at a farmers barn where they were attracted to his sheep.
The only thing that would have made the experience any better would have been to get the whole thing on film, but at least It will always be engrained into my memory.
