If you are in or near Southern Sask today you know how bad the wind is here today. This morning I got up at 6am. My sister was down for a few days and headed beck to the NWT this morning at 8. Driving her in I could not see a damn thing. The normal half hour drive took one hour. I saw 7 cars in the ditch over 60 km's of hiway.
After dropping her off I was supposed to head to Saskatoon for a meeting at the Royal University Hospital, but it was so rough, I figured it wasn't worth the chance.
I thought to myself that the wind might die down later in the afternoon, and I'll head out for a coyote hunt. I needed to pick up a value pack, 45 gr JHP 22-250. After 3 walmarts and 3 canadian tires and T and T, no ammo.
What the hell is going on!!!!!!!
I bought 2 boxes of 55 gr SP Federal. It's still windy so I'm not gonna get a chance to sight in with them,..
Now if I had the JHP 45 gr I'd be all set, cause I'd I just dial in for the drift.
So with two boxes of bullets and a rifle that is not setup for them, I head out to the butcher shop and grab some real good jerky, peperoni, cheese, etc etc etc and go for a little drive.
I see 4 !!!! 4 Coyotes. 4 singles!!! I did not even think about it. I hopped out, setup the gun and got ready. two of the singles bolted and the other two simply watched me a bit before leaving. No shots fired. I'm sure one was laughing at me.
Here is the question.
Do any of you guys set up your tacticals for different bullets.
For example.
For the 45 gr JHP's I am 0" and 0"
Now lets suppose I sight in for the 55 gr SP. Record the adjustment.
Now I have two options, rather than screwed today as I was.
Anyone do this? Is this a very common thing and I'm just not aware of it.
Before the reloaders show their teeth, I don't reload..
