coyotes during spring turkey season

Had a coyote run in on me last spring close enough I busted a custom box call over his nose and once he took a couple leaps and I got the gun out of my lap two loads of #6 did the job quite well on a 60 lb male. First one killed him, second one was cause he pissed me off and screwed my morning. Any #4 hunting load will put a world of hurt on any coyote within 25yds

A couple years back I had a coyote charge my decoy. I put a shot on his vitals at about 20 yards with a # 6 shot, 3” turkey load and it sent the coyote into cartwheels. He screamed like hell for about 5-7 seconds, but expired quickly a few yards away from where he was shot. He actually expired quicker then some turkeys I’ve shot with the same shells

Does it have to be a stand, or would a ground blind also be an acceptable place to take off your orange while bear hunting?

Hunters MUST be in a stand. Ground blinds don't qualify. Bear hunters must be wearing hunter orange when going to and from their stand. If your feet are on the ground...........

I’ve had success using my turkey loads which are usually 3” #5 Hevi-Shot Turkey.

No issues killing quickly inside 40 yards,
