CPC Leadership

I'm dreaming of a CPC government that reverses the gun ban OIC and issues an abortion ban OIC. Not because I really want to ban abortions, but because I want the leftists to feel the outrage and helplessness that we feel, and so I can ask them how they like them apples.

Same, but ultimately I want a pro-choice Con leader, because let's face it, women born in 2002 can vote. Just like women coming of age in the 1970s can't even comprehend a world before the pill.

There are lots of ### and bi Conservatives, and lots of women gun owners. At the risk of using that loaded term, it's time to be more "inclusive". And don't forget the NDP began as a agricultural/blue collar party. It wouldn't take much of a nudge to get some rural NDP supporters interested in a more socially progressive CPC. Leave the bedroom stuff alone and focus on economics, security, and - of course - gun policy.

I’ve been thinking a lot about who I would want and vote for. My mind is made up with Lewis.
I keep hearing she is unknown but after she wins everybody will know her.

I sent an email to McKay, Lewis, and O'Toole about my concerns in regard to the liberal's new gun ban regulations. Lewis was the only one to respond and she responded with a detailed platform of how she would repeal the regulation and target the source of firearms issues that we face in Canada. I'm still on the fence, but I've had a few interactions with Lewis now via email and I am starting to lean heavily towards her as my number one choice.

My information is that this was changed to May 14th.

I found this on the CPC website from a statement made March 27:

As a result of this decision, the upcoming debates are canceled. LEOC will look at rescheduling, or possibly adding more debates following the May 1, 2020 re-evaluation. The convention event at the end of June is also canceled.

To reflect the current suspension of the race, the membership deadline will also be moved to May 15, 2020.

Looks like it's May 15

Remember the “He’s just not ready” commercials?

How would it look having a leader who’s never even stepped foot in the House of Commons? She isn’t even capable of sitting with the opposition right now.

Can you repeat this 1000 times for the gents here? We are in a recession and global pandemic. Nobody in the cities is going to vote for an unknown with no experience.

The abortion thing really needs to be left alone, if we get someone who brings that to a forefront it will indeed become a hill they die on.

Ill likely vote for O'Toole, I think with his background he is the one to start a rebuild of our armed forces, they have been neglected for too long. One thing I will say though is I wish he would start talking more about his policies and plans and less about fundraising.
(I get its the name of the game, but its getting to be a little over bearing)

Well, Mr. “ He’s not ready” got in, didn’t he? Twice?

Ya, that's the part I am trying to wrap my head around. A drama teacher no less...and yet here he is screwing us over repeatedly. If she is strong in the debates, has a solid platform I have no doubt she will play in the media. You want Toronto votes? She might be the only one that can get them.

What’s wrong with truly being right wing and conservative? I’m noticing a lot of comments here are against being ideologically conservative. I personally think the problem in Canada is that the right has shifted too far to the left. There are barely any ideologies and principles that make the CPC truly conservative. If we become pro-abortion and allow the LGBT123 movement have their way, we’ll be back to square one with a clown of a PM because we didn’t have enough of a backbone to say no. The left don’t hide their ideologies, they’re pushing them into schools to convert our children. What difference is there between their principles and ours? Where do we draw the line?

A solid foundation of principles is needed to foster our country to accept our right to bear arms. Be it for sport, hunting, and what should be a fundamental human right: self-defence. I can only hope that whoever takes the helm of the CPC doesn’t sweep the touchy subjects under the carpet, or promise change now and lie about it later. This isn’t just about firearms, it’s about not compromising on morals and principles, these are the foundations of our beliefs for a better Canada for us and our loved ones.

Just my two cents.

Lol no thanks. Another kid and I won't be able to afford ammo.
