CQB+Camo+Newbie=discouraged

To me, wearing camo in a three gun match is like wearing buckskins at a blackpowder rendezvouz...why not? With that said, I don't wear camo at the range, as I'm not sure if I would be permitted to wear issue CADPAT, and I would feel odd wearing another country's camo (ie: ACU/MARPAT)

Be safe and shoot well, that is all you need to know.
You wanna run stage in speedo, hmm, your call.
As long as you follow rule book.

I gotta chirp in on this. Personally, as a member of the CF, I really don't care what people wear at the range. If people want to wear Cadpat go for it. Your the one who has to shoot in it all day. I personally wear it every day and the last thing I want to wear on a day off is my uniform. That being said I wore it once hunting up north as I didnt have anything else yet, and I just felt outta place. Maybe because its all about the venue. I dunno. But if you wanna wear it, go for it and enjoy it!

Camo is fine. I am a CF reservist and it doesn't bother me at all.

Camo plus the dreaded ninja sniper commando wannabe attitude makes me uncomfortable.

I love threads like this, because it brings up two issues I find interesting about teh shooting community. Civilian shooters and Military/LEO shooters do what they do because they have chosen it as their job. It comes with honor and risks that civilians like myself cannot imagine. I can see why, when some poser comes along talking sh*t and dressed up like an idiot, there is reason to mock, ridicule and harass that individual. On the other hand, the fact that there are people who want to walk around an make themselves out to be some G6 secert squirrel just makes me LMMFAO!!! I have had an interest in all things Military and Firearms since I was a kid, but I could never bring myself to dishonour those who do it for real. Just like walking into gang territory wearing the wrong colors and talking like a thug will get you hurt, so will faking like you are a soldier.

This is my range dress...

I don't see what the big deal is. Who gives a crap about wearing camo to a CQB match? BDU's a comfotable as hell which IMHO will help your score. Wear tight clothes and move around and see what you score. Lastly, it's a CQB MATCH for fark sakes! Who else but LEO's and CF guys do this type of shooting? Wear what ya got and shoot what ya brung! Live and let live guys!

Flame on!
