CQBR / Mk18 Mod1 Clone thread - Show us your clones!

In the U.S. they have an event called "clone shoot" where everyone with a clone rifle comes out to shoot and talk shop; be cool to set up an event like that here....hey if any of you guys posting here are on the island, hit me up!

It's call a service rifle shoot.

I've been to a service rifle shoot but it was all WWII guns.....either way whatever it's called it would be cool if there was one around here but with modern rifles (circa OP Anaconda/Enduring Freedom)

Getting this, does it qualify as MK18 clone?

gunnerlove does service rifle competitions, look him up if you want to participate.

Not to derail this thread but because people are asking.

COMPETITOR INFORMATION
Course of fire requires 135 rounds (150 is recommended to cover possible reshoots)
Be prepared to be outside all day and bring lunch, snacks and plenty of water as there is no potable water or food available on site.
All parking will be behind the 500m point.
Check-in at the registration table to collect score cards prior to heading down range.
All competitors must posses a valid PAL/POL and are required to comply with all applicable Canadian Firearms regulations.

Since the Nanaimo military range is so sheltered by trees, shooters have to deal with more mirage than wind. This means the reduced velocity and increased wind drift of shorter barrels is far less of a concern than on a big open range.
And you guys should be able to crush the 100m standing, moving target match.

Last real-life MK18s I saw were carried by US Coast Guard LEDET boarding team, alongside SIG P229 DAKs in .40 S&W.

- MK18 Mod 0 upper:
- 10.3in barrel
- A2 flash suppressor
- Fixed front sight/gas block
- No rear sight seen (cut-down A2-style LMT rear sights were mentioned, but not on the guns)

- Colt M4 Auto-Semi-Safe lower w/ Military/Law Enforcement Use Only markings

- KAC M4 RIS

- KAC vertical foregrip

- SOPMOD buttstock

- Single-point sling

- Aimpoint CompM4 red-dot sight

- SureFire M600/M620 Ultra Scout light

Very sweet gun, nicely balanced and very pointable. When I come back from this trip, I am planning on picking up a LMT and building it to those specs...unless Colt Canada decides to offer IURs to civilians, in which case I will build it on one of the 10" models.

Our boarding parties went from carrying a mix of 870s, MP5s and C8s to C8A3s with EOTechs for all. Great, we all carry the same ammo, and I like the A3, but the 15.7 barrel makes it a bit long for shipboard use...wish we had the C8 CQB for that sort of thing.

I don’t have a clone, but I love the look of the MK18 Mod 0 and Mod 1.

I started off with a Colt LE6920 lower, and had a Norc 10.5in upper on it for a while:

Ended up selling the Norc upper to help finance a CC IUR:

ThenI bought a striped CC lower, slapped it together and the IUR ended up on top of that so my M4 was topless again. I bought an LE6920 off a buddy so my LE6920 was whole again:

And within hours of buying the LE6920 off my friend, I found a sweet deal on a 10.3in Stag N8 upper so I ended up buying that too:

I tried it out on my IUR:

But I think I like it on my Colt LE6920 lower:
