So I bought my mk18 with a black RISII, I put in an fde version. But I didn't change the "bolt up plate"(as DD calls it). I don't know what that's called. And now I want to sell the black RISII I have laying around. But I need to switch that rail bolt up plate to the FDE. I just don't have know how to remove the barrel nut or barrel. Need to have that taken off and put on the FDE rail bolt up plate.
I'll take a photo because I'm horrible at explaining this.
So I need to switch that plate there. I've looked up how to do it, pop the pin off the gas block and stuff, but I'm just not that confident in doing that stuff. I don't want to screw anything up.
Unles it's actually really easy. Then I could probably do it.

Just make sure you use the proper tools for the job and it shouldn't be too dificult. When i receive my fde ris II i will be installing it myself, it will be a first for me too.
Well I did it. It all went smoothly except for pinning the gas block back to the barrel. That was a bigger. I think it's ok.
Here's where that pin ended up. It was just about the same before. So we should be good. But if this isn't any good, I'll get a new pin. But it wouldn't go in any further. Pin was probably mushroomed out a bit. It's in there very firmly. Gas block is night and tight.

I am sure the pin is in far enough that you will be fine.
IRUNGUNS brought some complete rifles in for us some time ago. My pocketbook hates them, but boy do I have some nice stuff now!

Well this isnt a tribute to anything, Just always like the mk18 and mine came in the mail today, The parts were sitting and waiting.
