Thanks! Yeah, actually, I somehow managed to cram the tab underneath the hand guard cap and it's locked in there pretty solidly. I may just leave it because it was a collosal pain in the buttocks to get it in there, lol!

Giessele made the rails for the US military customers to replace their hand guards on HK416. After that project, they "modify" the hand guard ( ie, taking HK barrel nut design, replacing the male/female interface between the rail and the taller HK upper receiver with two ears on each side to fit standard AR upper) for regular AR.
 
I did replace my mk18 rail for the g mk8 a while ago and i must say i am very happy i did even if i am a filthy non-cloner.. until they adopt it!

There was nothing wrong with the mk18 rail but i guess i wanted to try something different, the ddc color on mine is awesome and when paired with a tan warden and tan exps i think it makes a really nice looking stick

Hoooooo~~~~you just saved me about $400. I was about to order a G Mk8 from Arms East to beat out any other panic buyers there might be, but now I can relax :)

Being banned has one benefit, you don't spend any money in EE. The bad thing is, you have no idea what the going rate is for things, lol!

First day wit EE access again yesterday and I stayed up till 2am browsing, haha!

Saw a few for $1,700, also saw a few for about full retail. So I guess some things don't change, hahaha!

That being said, retail for these are damn near $3k now, crazy.

They drastically went up Jan. 1st. MSRP is over $2800. Mikethebike was below what wholesale price is now.
 
I build working guns for LE departments, usually variations of the 6933 with 11.5" barrels for ERT, or the 6920 with 16" barrels for patrol.

Non of my customers are Navy SEALs, so no real call for 10.3" guns. I do sometimes build one offs for special projects or military contractors, but those are for very specific tasks.

By build it into something else, I mean a demo gun with a different handguard, select fire lower, and throw a suppressor on the front.
