I just got the flyer for cabelas and noticed powders are 20% off. Went online to check and noticed the prices were 20% higher even for them! Likely to reflect the loss of profit in their "sale". Rant finished please continue with your regular cgn browsing.

I would go to the Manager at the local Cabela's and ask him to look the product up on their computer. It show's previous prices, CS has been great at mine so I'm thinking they will help you out.

I almost bought a savage model 11, on sale with a $75 rebate. I bought a better accustock model from Prairie gun traders, so I didn't have pay Cabela's outrageous shipping. I got a better gun for less money.

Must only be in the east. I see no mention of powder in the newest flyer in BC.

You mean Cabela's outrageous free shipping? They literally have free shipping on orders over $99 every day.

100% agree. They are ridiculous.

My additional $0.02.

I have never noticed bumped up prices before sale price at Cabela's, but I sure have at Wholesale Sports.
Cabela's is just another retailer selling stuff. They have added multi-millions of dollars of sporting goods stock in Canada. Their presence has also pushed Wholesale Sports to do better, sometimes, maybe.
Some of us remember the good old days of take-it-or-leave-it retailing in Canada, with little stock and unpleasant attitude. The big box stores have stirred things up.
I still shop at the local Mom and Pop store where they offer hard to find stuff with service and a smile.
I would not be holding out hope for Bass Pro to add positively to the mix of sporting goods stores. Their policies in Canada have not been all that friendly to the consumer, and their clothing line is often substandard quality.
