Can be an excellent training assist. Makes coaching easier.
We sometimes have low light/nightime matches. Very effective.
Until TDC chimes in this thread cant be done lol.
Thanks for the introduction!
I think they're mostly a gimmick. For starters, lasers point both ways, which means they can aid both parties involved if we're talking practical use. If you're talking about running one for fun or gaming, I really don't care. Second, if you can't align the sights(and naturally that means the bore/barrel) consistently without issue, the laser won't help that. Lasers when setup properly indicate the general area where a bullet should land if fired at that moment. They don't return to POA, nor do they compensate for poor form. They are useful for specific applications such as entry guys who run a shield, even though there are other options. Another proclaimed use is for adverse shooting positions. My take on that, is that if you can see it with your eyes, you can get the gun up to your line of sight and use the robust steel sights mounted to the gun.

I kinda felt the same. Was waiting for you to confirm it.
No need to wait for my opinion to confirm. I say validate or invalidate it for yourself. "The mission drives the gear train." Meaning, some accessories are more useful in certain roles than others, and some not. "The situation dictates the tactics." Same basic meaning. Not every method is viable for every situation. Use what works and discard or rather file away the rest.

I just like to bust your balls a little now and then, even when your right.
If ball busting is your thing, who am I to stop you. Oh, and its you're not your.I will admit, lasers are fun to play with but the novelty doesn't outweigh the negatives or the cost.

Ya have never owned a lazer, as i dont want to rely on it. I do have a surefire x300 ultra. But its just the light.
How do you like the X300? have you tried it outside for distance?
