Cross Bows in a Early Bow Season?

Well my paper is complete all 15 pages of it along with a 45 min presentation to create a debate among the class. I even referenced some of you guys! Hope you mind....dont

I just thought I would add during my research and writings I found that although I love hunting with a traditional bow with the I could not help but come to a conclusion that I dont actually dont disagree with guys using cross bows in the archery season... although for selfish hunting reasons I wouldn't mind it staying the way its is - for now.

Thanks for the help and input everyone!
Cheers,
Cricket

Only reason to not allow crossbows is snobbery, plain and simple.

I agree with Gatehouse on this one. A crossbow is no different than modern day compound bows with their 80% letoff, modern sighting systems, & trigger release mechanisms. Bows shoot arrows, crossbows shoot shorter arrows at comparable velocities. No real difference IMHO.

As a bowhunting newbie I thought xbows had an advantage over verticals. Most bowhunters on here have no problem with xbows in archery only seasons, so what the heck. If everyone's happy where xbows are allowed, then it works just fine.
