Well entertainment is not usually free..if you add up gas/licenses/equipment etc.....Harold
How so ?..........it blew right through. The prongs deliver blunt trauma and flips the arrow so they don't slide under the leaves.
The "Judo" points were copies from Cabela's........great for smacking gophers too.
We got 10 ruffs and a spruce #### this am mostly with 20ga and 28ga........one with the crossbow and one with the 2240 pistol carbine.Harold
Just my experience...... these were not designed to "go right through"..... they were designed to hit and stop.....
That being said, youbhave some nice, unaffected meat there.....
The heads were not designed for crossbow velocity likely.......
As per Hoyt's post above, I have lost way too many arrows, and broadheads to boot...... just because I had to try and couldn't resist....
I won't be shooting at anything off the ground for safety reasons..the world is full of critics.............Harold
i don't think flu flu arrows would ride on the deck of a crossbow so launching arrows into the sky would be rather reckless........hence the ground only shooting policy.Don't need to ventilate a range cow or oil worker. And I have far more range than a shotgun with birdshot.I may try one of the turkey guillotine arrow heads..flying scissors......just a little off the top.......Harold
Due to an accident years ago ,[severed ulner nerve] conventional archery equipment is not something I can pursue. So this leaves crossbows.......I have all the paperwork to use one legally here in AB. There is a guy in the States who is an exhibition shooter that can shoot thrown aspirin tablets with a traditional bow.Name escapes me but he's amazing............Harold
Byron Ferguson.... and yes, he is really good....
