Yum !

Really enjoyed the video - I just imagined Ontario's Mgc!nty and the federal lieberals hanging there getting skinned ! It was great ! ;)

Doesn't surprise me at all. They killed their own people by the millions, why would a few animals make any difference to them.

Definitely not a video for everyone.

This video is fu**** distgusting. These are the ####in people that make us trappers look like idiots. These people should be shot at skinned alive to. DISCUSTING

Very sad. But I'll say that I too think it's staged. Why? Is it worth the risk to skin a live animal and risk personal injury? No it's not. It's disturbing to think that groups could do this to animals to make a point, and I'm convinced that's what it is.

I don't believe for a second that peta would do something like this just to promote their cause,,,but if they do...God help them. NO . God get rid of them:mad:they are worse than anybody they are trying to protect from.

So is it prudent to risk severe bites and potential disease by skinning them alive? Nobody does that. You have to trap the critter and manipulate it to hang it. It won't like that very much. Then while it's hanging you have to start making incisions, it won't like that either. Then you have to skin it and work around the mouth. Yup, it won't like that much. Then even though it will be in shock, it can still bite you.

Or....

You could dispatch the animal with a blow to the head. You then have a harmless dead animal.

Which makes more sense?

How about this for starters?

From July 1998 through December 2006, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) killed over 17,400 dogs, cats, and other "companion animals." That's more than five defenseless creatures every day. PETA has a walk-in freezer to store the dead bodies, and contracts with a Virginia Beach company to cremate them.
Not counting the pets PETA spayed and neutered, the group put to death over 97 percent of the animals it took in during 2006. And its angel-of-death pattern shows no sign of changing.

PETA has given tens of thousands of dollars to convicted arsonists and other violent criminals. This includes a 2001 donation of $1,500 to the North American Earth Liberation Front (ELF), an FBI-certified “domestic terrorist” group responsible for dozens of firebombs and death threats. During the 1990s, PETA paid $70,200 to an Animal Liberation Front (ALF) activist convicted of burning down a Michigan State University research laboratory. In his sentencing recommendation, a federal prosecutor implicated PETA president Ingrid Newkirk in that crime. And PETA vegetarian campaign coordinator Bruce Friedrich told an animal rights convention in 2001 that “blowing stuff up and smashing windows” is “a great way to bring about animal liberation.”

PETA collected almost $29 million in donations in 2004 alone, but few donors understand exactly where their money is going. During the past ten years, PETA has spent four times as much on criminals and their legal defense than it has on shelters, spay-neuter programs, and other efforts that actually help animals.

On its 2002 federal income-tax return, PETA claimed a $9,370 expense for a giant walk-in freezer, the kind most people use as a meat locker or for ice-cream storage. But animal-rights activists don't eat meat or dairy foods. So far, the group hasn't confirmed the obvious -- that it's using the appliance to store the bodies of its victims.

PETA famously suggested that drinking milk causes cancer, in an advertisement mocking then-NYC Mayor Rudy Guliani with the words "Got Prostate Cancer?" PETA has also erected a billboard reading: "Got Sick Kids? Drinking milk contributes to colic, ear infections, allergies, diabetes, obesity, and many other illnesses." In 2003 the group held a demonstration in front of a Toronto-area hospital that was under a SARS-related quarantine, spuriously alleging that animal husbandry has something to do with the epidemic's spread. Upon hearing that Charlton Heston had fallen ill with Alzheimer's Disease, Ingrid Newkirk suggested that PETA would "toy with the idea that both Alzheimer's and CJD [Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease] are related to meat consumption." According to a profile in The New Yorker, she considered "renting billboards that would display a large picture of a gaunt Charlton Heston foaming at the mouth."

When terrorists struck on September 11, 2001, PETA issued a press release emphasizing the “animals left orphaned” and the dogs and cats in nearby buildings who would be “highly traumatized.” The press release berated Mayor Giuliani for his “poor record when it comes to animals” and urged him expend time, energy, and human resources “to set up a task force to locate and rescue animals” at Ground Zero.

When Newkirk heard that Palestinian militants had strapped explosives to a donkey in the hopes of exploding it in a crowded Jerusalem street, she faxed a letter to Yasser Arafat, pleading with him to “leave the animals out of it.”

When a grisly killing spree in Vancouver left 15 women dead, PETA tried to purchase full-page ads in local papers suggesting that this carnage was no worse than the killing of animals for food.

Should I keep going?

It was staged. This one came out about 2 years ago. Take a look.

The guy doing the skinning of the live animal is wearing street clothes and shoes. The guy using the "body slam" method of killing (the same one I use on live trapped animals) is wearing a full apron. Why take off the apron for the "bloody" work?

He cuts the eyelids, risks being bitten and leaves a bleeding carcass. Why? Would it help his bottom line to have a ####ty pelt that just lost 25% of its value due to poor handling? Did having to avoid the bites speed up his operation or hinder it?

Look at the carcasses already in the pile. None of them are bleeding and are the "clean" livid white of a animal already dead when it was skinned. Why is the live one the only one exhibiting those bleeding capillaries on the surface?

The second guy is an obvious amateur. Look at the last quarter of the vid where he is absolutely destroying the value of the pelt by pulling it off in thin strips and leaving pieces of it attached to the carcass. He NEVER does get that leg skinned out. A pro with a dead fox can do it in seconds.

Why wreck your profits unless someone was paying you to? The quality of the footage was way too good for the typical pinhole cameras that are used to film this crap. This was obviously a hand-held or better quality camera. Someone was paid or coerced into doing something outside of normal practices.

I agree 100%.China's human citizens have no rights...why should we be surprised that their animals don't either? As for the video, distubing yes,but as a trapper I assure you that it in no way whatsoever is representative of the North American fur trade though PETA and ALF would have you beleive otherwise.Canadian trappers are held to new strict humane trap standards for one thing and I can't imagine anybody treating animals in that manner for any purpose here.I've personally killed thousands of animals and I assure you they were all very dead before skinning. In fact,I might just beat someone with a hammer if I seen them doing that even to a lowly muskrat?

'Nuther good reason to carpet bomb the equator from the Middle East clear to China IMHO.Nuke 'em all!!!as The Lord says"Do unto others before they do it to you"....er sumthin like that?;)

This is sickning....
pharaoh2 and sjemac,
You both have brought out facts unknown to me,on the same token,I have never followed, nor looked into this sort of thing, meaning peta ect.I just thought of them as anti hunting and everything to save animals from a coat.

Thank you, because I will now follow up and do some research.
