Crusader arms backland

Every ban starts with this stupid forum talking about bans.
Let's keep this SIMPLE. BANS still doesn't solve GUN issues. CLEARLY, Vetted Gun Users are NOT THE PROBLEM. The problem lies with the criminals, the mentally unstable and the Liberals that can't seem to UNDERSTAND Why vetted users are not the problem. Go FIGURE. Maybe they could hit their head at the wall or voluntarily submit themselves to Electroconvulsive therapy would be a non starter.

The thoughts and opinions were so negative, bullseye deleted the thread they made on the front page. It's them trying to make a quick buck, just the same as JR cox did with the sterling r9. Don't bother to be the legal/manufacturing guinea pig.
Hi,
I would suggest that your comments be a lot more productive and professional.
As you have been warned before in the past. In our opinion, it seems you need to rip apart our industry with insults and unfair comparisons.
It's amazing how some are so willing to derail our Canadian firearms industry and attack each other in our own community.
We should be better than that and stand together.

After spending thousands to support the "Canadian gun industry" only to mostly get subpar junk that fails on such spectacular levels not even seen on cheap norincos that cost a fraction of the price, yeah, I'm going to call it what it is, garbage. It's not just my feelings and my opinion either, it's a well known fact. There are some absolute diamonds in the industry (ATRS, MDT, Maple ridge armory, Grey fox holsters and a few others) but again, you guys even deleted the thread when it became obvious no one was impressed with yet another project intending to use consumers for testing.

This is a public forum, for this exact kind of discussion to take place, so please, explain why you deleted your announcement thread for the gun? You have the ability to clean up threads and lock them in your dealer forum. Let me guess, too many people called out the shady business dealings of crusader arms? Let alone the fact you also locked the PND thread you posted. Ironic that they essentially wiped their social media and deleted their website once the prohib frt came down for the crypto. Consumers are rightfully displeased with the cost to value they receive when buying a Canadian gun.

Stop. Defending. Sh1tty. Business. Behaviour.

Just because it's made or designed in Canada, doesn't excuse poor quality, service or getting your customers to test your guns at their cost. Especially when you ask the price of a mid-high level firearm and are considered less reliable than cheap Chinese and Turkish guns.

The backland isn’t really that much more cost wise then those Turkish made 223 rifles that just recently came out
I think these look better then the Turkish ones plus they have proper rails/ optics mounting so you won’t lose zero when you disassemble for cleaning
Turkish guns are known for being made with soft steel which does not last as long either and parts support for a lot of them is non existant
Plus I’d rather support a western business then a foreign Turkish one
I own quite a few Turkish made shotguns and the quality is hit and miss with all of them
I don’t think any of them are made to last for extended periods, they sure won’t last for generations like the old Remingtons and Winchesters have
Seeing as rifles operate at much higher pressures then shotguns do I’m not really ready to trust a Turkish design using sub par materials
I’m just hoping that these Backland rifles turn out to be decent reliable units
And as was said earlier at least Crusader is trying to adapt to our stupid laws and rules that our idiots in power keep changing on us and continue to develop new products, Kodiak and BCL I think have given up on trying to design anything semi auto for us
Ya it’s a risk that Crusader is taking by making these but we should try to support our Canadian manufacturers in these dire times because if we don’t they will simply disappear and we will have nothing which is what the Liebral criminal party wants

I agree with this wholly; it would be nice to see BCL and possibly Kodiak make the same pivot into making rifles suited for sale in our current situation

Just because they put “Benelli M4” into the description 100 times does not make it related to one in any way.

It is very clearly an AR with a fixed stock similar to the FightLite SCR.

As soon as the RCMP get their hands on one it will be classed as a variant.

And yet there's no AR safety, no buffer tube, doesn't look like it takes an AR bolt with that travel.
Is that really an AR variant? I don't think so.

RCMP will classify your hand in a gun shape as an AR variant so we know their opinion is worthless.

It is most certainly not an AR.🤦

The FightLite is more similar to an AR than this, but it’s not an AR either.

Will the RCMP classify it as one? Maybe! They said the Mossberg Plinkster was an AR.

The liberals in their wildest dreams could not have imagined a victory so complete as to result in a large number of gun owners themselves screaming at companies for daring to create something that they perceive might be banned. Absolutely pathetic state of canadian gun ownership. For the goldfish brains in the room, my SVT 40 and gsg 16 didnt have AR cocking handles, didnt take AR mags, and didnt look like ARs, and they were still banned. Kudos to any company willing to even attempt to get us guns like this any longer. Either this rifle will be allowed and some will get to enjoy it, or the liberals will have to publicly expand their massively unpopular "buyback" campaign that is political poison to anyone running outside of 2 ridings in quebec.

So................................... you planning on dropping a video of the internals/breakdown? Will there be a builder kit?

It's direct impingement with an AR BCG. It's quite obvious that those are sufficient criteria for the RCMP.

The Crypto was an AR too despite a few minor departures in design. If Crusader wants to make a serious case that they are not just creating variants, they need to actually design a firearm from the ground up, or maybe based on another design that doesn't share most functional parts with an AR.

Crypto owners should not have been surprised when they were deemed illegal variants-- future Backland owners should not be surprised either.

Actually several guns have been deemed variants of another gun simply because they named that gun in their advertising description. Not saying that'd be the case here obviously but that's what they're trying to do. Will it work? Probably not, but that applies to any semi auto on the Canadian market as long as Liberals are in charge.

That is not an AR BCG - there is no room at the back of the receiver for the travel of an AR15 BCG.

Nobody really knows what the RCMP criteria is.

One thing I’ve noticed with the recently approved Turkish rifles, and the Henry Homsteader, is that the top of the barrel is exposed in a more traditional hunting rifle fashion. Then again they banned the FNAR and that was of similar construction.

They do like to keep us guessing, and going out to replace banned rifles with soon to be banned rifles.

Personally I just buy what I want.

As I said, always someone in the crowd smarter than the gun designers always trying to fit things into Liberal boxes. Not helpful.

If they put "I identify as a hunting rifle" it should be good!:ROFLMAO:
