The Alcor says “Hunting Rifle” on the side of it.If they put "I identify as a hunting rifle" it should be good!![]()
It couldn’t hurt.

That is not an AR BCG - there is no room at the back of the receiver for the travel of an AR15 BCG.
Nobody really knows what the RCMP criteria is.
One thing I’ve noticed with the recently approved Turkish rifles, and the Henry Homsteader, is that the top of the barrel is exposed in a more traditional hunting rifle fashion. Then again they banned the FNAR and that was of similar construction.
They do like to keep us guessing, and going out to replace banned rifles with soon to be banned rifles.
Personally I just buy what I want.
Freudian slip or typo, not sure which. I fixed it."Hinting Rifle"?
ohkwáho ktoratsCall it the crusader Hunting rifle and give it a wood stock lol
Correct, what level of helpfulness would you like? I never said I don't approve of skirting the ban-- I do. But don't act like it comes out of left field when the RCMP deems this a variant, likely with some reasonable justification. As I said, always someone in the crowd smarter than the gun designers always trying to fit things into Liberal boxes. Not helpful.
Imaginary powers? Seems like they had enough power to squash the crypto and others!Take a look at the American Fightlite rifle - I expect it’ll be a variation on that rifle, except for the AR compatible upper.
Ironically, I always wanted a fightlite rifle, even before the ban. So I may give this a go.
It’ll use an AR style DI piston/ bolt, and the M4 recoil tail.
Being that it doesn’t have an FRT, I would expect the RCMP “lab” to ban it out of spite. In a “"how dar you thwart thee" ego fueled tantrum - They don’t like their imagined powers, to pass law, being challenged.
Then again, if their imagined powers aren’t challenged, do they become real?
But who cares anymore![]()
Without having put hands on it, i'm assuming its a shortened carrier with a rat-tail, not unlike a benelli shotgun or an FAL so they say, but more akin to the fightlite/ares SCR.Agreed, there's no chance that's an AR BCG in there. DI gas and a vague visual similarity is all that even gets close to AR.
The FNAR ban was total bull#### and only done based on it being marketed as a Police precision rifle. It's 100% a Browning BAR hunting rifle and I'm pretty sure you could just put the FNAR stock and mags right into a stock BAR.
Exactly. That's half of an AR BCG.Without having put hands on it, i'm assuming its a shortened carrier with a rat-tail, not unlike a benelli shotgun or an FAL so they say, but more akin to the fightlite/ares SCR.

That ad is awesome. Edit: It's not an ad, but a review.
Nicely done without the infamous inferences this forum generates.
Since when does the RCMP need to provide any rationale or even a shred of logic in their actions? Numerous examples of "variants" based on looks alone...Exactly. That's half of an AR BCG.
The Fightlite takes AR uppers-- if this ends up being a Fightlite with a contour change where the upper & lower mate, the RCMP will have all they need to claim lineage with the AR-15.
